Modifications I have completed
Water/Methanol Injection Well the injectors and chip got me hot! Hot in the EGT's. To help combat the high temps I installed a water/methanol injection system from Snow Performance. |
Catalytic Converted turned into muffler When I changed the stock exhaust over to 4", I made the converter into a muffler. I have since removed this muffler and run the system open. I made it so I could easily re-install this muffler if I wanted to. |
Hood air flow modification In an effort to increase air flow, I cut these holes in the under side of the hood. |
| AC mod. Hot water cutoff.
To eliminate hot water circulating through the cab in the summer, I installed a vacuum operated cut off valve under the hood. The valve is activated by the on dash heat/AC control |
Flush Mount Heater Plug A flush mount plug was purchased from a local boat dealer for $16 I drilled a hole in the front bumper through the black molding, it blends in very well. It is water and dust proof when closed. |
Stock tail pipe mod. The stock tail pipe was bent back and cut at an angle in an effort to promote scavenging. |

On Board Air Compressor Here are few photos of the On Board Air compressor I am prepping for install. It will be engine driven. I must first relocate the alternator to down below in the lower alternator position on a dual alternator set up. This will require purchasing a late model bracket and modifying it. The only reason I have to relocate the alt. is because I have an IC. If you do not have an IC you can mount this compressor right next to the existing alternator. You will have to make your own brackets. The compressor is a York 10 cfm. Which is one of the large ones. The end shaft is square cut. The smaller compressors are either a beveled or slotted shaft end. I will post more pictures of the install when I complete it. |
Custom Fuel System Here are few photos of the the custom fuel system I made up while engine was out and on the stand. I use the factory line from the rail, up the block into the valley. Then is is all SS from there. In addition, I did some revamping of the High Pressure Oil feeds as well. I am feeding the rails in two instead of just one. |
Gauges Gauges and MORE Gauges! I added 6 more gauges for a total of 9 right now. I can monitor, oil pressure and temp, water temp, fuel pressure, air pressure and vacuum. Hope to come up with a transducer to monitor High Pressure oil next. |
